Born and raised in central Indiana. Graduated from the state university with an art degree of sorts and a speciality in sculpture fabrications. Now a permanent transplant to California, SF Bay area.
In my artwork, I have tried to provide a unique vision. I am a huge jazz/blues fan and with inspiration coming from everywhere, much of my work directly relates to the music and the improvisational process by which it is presented. I believe modern American jazz is one of the greatest art genres in history.
Basically a maker with extensive woodworking skill, I’ve recently done more painting due to the immediacy of the process. Any pieces are blown up versions of sketches done during live music.
Medium is mostly Behr 100% acrylic paint from a tube on watercolor paper. Everything is for sale at reasonable prices. Frames are made in my shop/art studio.
